Welcome to the Black Hills Air Rally Website

Yes, we've moved this year's Air Rally to the Labor Day Weekend. The Air Rally will be three days of laid-back radio contolled airplanes enjoying the air over the Buffalo Chip campground and will include lots of open flight time, and some flight demos. This year there is no landing fee for pilots.

The Air Rally is open to the public all three days. No admission charge. There will be plenty to see, but the best time for spectators will be on Sunday, the 5th. The Air Methods Life Flight Air Ambulance helicopter should arrive at 11:00 A.M. Bleacher seating is available but bring your lawn chairs and stay the whole day. Food and drinks available on site.

On-site camping near the field is available. Park your RV, raise your tent, plug in your trailer within a few feet of the flight line. Seventeen Bufflalo Chip cabins are available as well.

3-D Flying will be allowed the first 20 minutes of each hour. Full details on the back of the site map.

Air Methods Lifeflight will once again be in attendance on Sunday with their full-size helicopter air ambulance. There may be other full size aircraft on display.
